As some of us mentioned during the celebration yesterday, papie spent his last years painting. Over a hundred canvases of all sizes, in boxes or on the walls of his room. Many of the paintings are based on memories, or just scenes from different points in his life. Many of them featured animals. Some of them show his mischievous sense of humour. Papie’s artwork has been a big inspiration for me, and maybe can be for others: It’s never too late to try something new and find what brings you joy.
